How To: Get Your World of Warcraft Fix with This RPG Game for iPhone

Get Your World of Warcraft Fix with This RPG Game for iPhone

The world of mobile gaming is flush with MMORPGs that entice players with console-quality graphics and gameplay, intense co-op dungeons similar to World of Warcraft, and epic loot that'll give you a leg up over your competition. While there are games like Order & Chaos that nearly match PC-based RPGs, most simply fail to measure up. But the latest entry in this genre, Crusaders of Light, may finally get players to ditch their computers for iPhones and iPads to get their online RPG fix.

Crusaders of Light has soft launched for iOS in the Philippines, New Zealand, Malaysia, and Australia. Boasting PC-quality graphics, this game is also packed with hundreds of hours worth of quests to keep you on your toes even well before its worldwide launch. Up to 40 players can band together and take on dungeon raids in real time to do battle against epic bosses for valuable loot and renown.

There's plenty of PvP action to be had in Crusaders of Light, and players can participate in team-based battles that can see up to 50 players duke it out in battleground fights. Guilds are a staple in any MMORPG, and Crusaders of Light comes with a nifty real-time "Integrated Voice System" to provide teammates an unprecedented level of communication essential to coordinating and planning battles.

As of now, Crusaders of Light is still in the process of being further refined before it's released around the world. Currently, the game is only available for download in the Philippines, Australia, Malaysia, and New Zealand. Nonetheless, if you'd like to try out Crusaders of Light right now and see if this game has got what it takes to get you off your console, we'll show you how to download it despite the regional restrictions.

Download & Install Crusaders of Light

Any iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch with iOS 10 or higher installed will run Crusaders of Light just fine. As a soft launch, however, you'll need to create an Apple ID that's based in one of the countries where the game was already released before you can download it. In this case, you have Australia, Malaysia, New Zealand, and the Philippines to choose from.

Creating an App Store account from a different region is easy to do — simply sign up for a new Apple ID using a valid email account and a realistic home address for one of the above countries, then sign into this account on your iOS device. We've got the entire process covered in detail in the following linked guide for those who feel more comfortable seeing it done step by step.

Once you've set up an account in one of the eligible countries, the rest of the process will work just the same as installing any other game. So head to the App Store and search for Crusaders of Light to get it installed, or tap one of the following links from your iOS device.

Crusaders of Light is still in development as a soft launched app, so don't be surprised if you run into a few minor bugs. We tested the game on an iPad Pro running iOS 10.3, and though we spotted a few minor glitches, such as invisible players and some slow rendering, nothing major that affected gameplay was encountered.
